introduction to the commune

A dynamic commune of 1143 residents located in the west of the district (communauté de communes) of St Yrieix la Perche, 35km to the south of Limoges.

A romanesque church dating from the 12th century classified as a national monument, with its porch of concentric arches in the roman limousin style, serpentine columns and 17th and 18th century statues.   

A lakeside mini leisure centre with childrens' playground, climbing wall, picnic tables and a shady campsite with mobile homes. 

A signposted walking trail of roughly 5km (around 2hrs) with information panels to help identify the local plants and wildlife.

A second, much longer, signposted trail of 12km taking in sections of forest and open countrry. 

A variety of accomodation including campsites, gîtes (furnished holiday cottages) and chambres d’hôtes (bed and breakfast)..
